My Grandfather's Hands
My grandfather's hands. These hands..... These hands have calmed horses, fought in the Korean War, molded clay into pottery, stacked lumber, milked cows, plowed fields, stripped tobacco, held grand kids, played the organ..... And the story of these hands never end. My favorite thing these hands do though is explain the endless stories that I listen to as I sit on the couch with my grandfather. In my grandfathers last days it was an honor to sit at his side and hold these hands!
Because Im his Daughter....
I wrote this about my earthly and heavenly Fathers. Being this daughter has molded me into the woman that I am, given me the freedom to reach for my dreams and the courage/confidence to fight for anything.
Because I'm his daughter I stand up for what I believe in, I don't hide who I am.
Because I'm his daughter I stand up for what I believe in, I don't hide who I am.
Because I'm his daughter I know I am loved, my sins are forgiven, I am his princess.
Because I'm his daughter I am never truly lost, I show my true colors, I seek out the lost.
Because I'm his daughter I am alive, I am blessed, and my identity will always include him.
Because I'm his daughter I am not waiting on the world to change, I am changing the world.
Because I'm his daughter.............

Stars & cells
Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering.
-Saint Augustine
God has made our bodies so complex yet everything in our bodies work together and sometimes we pass by how amazing God has made us. The Lord breathed into existance stars like canis majoris (one of the largest known stars) yet also made laminin that holds every part and cell in our body together and looks like this....which is the shape of a cross.
Canis Majoris: one of the biggest stars
Laminin: holds everything in our body together, in the shape of a cross

Bon Voyage to China
About a week ago a family of one of the girls in my youth ministry moved to China to be missionaries. I had the opportunity to go to the airport the morning they were leaving to see them off. As I waited in line with them to check there bags I tried to give them a last bit of encouragement and love before they left and moved to a different country for the next two years to do work in God's ministry. After about a half hour of a little frantically taking stuff out of luggage and stuffing other stuff into others so that all bags were under fifty pounds we walked over to the gate. I know that at that moment all the family members staying here and myself felt the emotion of this moment. As the family said their goodbyes and last hugs were given I offered to pray for them. Circled up with this family holding hands starting to pray I realized that no amazing words or awesome prayers I said was going to change the fact that God was standing in the middle of that circle preparing to keep this family safe. I knew that my simple words meant enough and that Gods presence There more than I ever felt and this family would be blessed for there bold move and great faith.

niceSERVE= nicely serving
niceSERVE20 with my church Summit a week ago was a unique experience! My car broke down in walking distance to the Central FL Zoo, which is where we were headed to do our niceServe project. All I could do was laugh though, as well as be thankfully that God was watching out for us as my timing belt broke at a stop light and not on I-4. Also thankful for parents that took care of my car so I could continue to participate in the project. Here are some pics I got of the amazing Hawk that we met while doing our project for the zoo!

I think I'm in love....
I got the opportunity to sit down with a 2 month old baby tiger cub. It was one of the most amazing things I have done so far. The cubs name is Ellie Mae and she was so playful and sweet. She stole my heart away :)
