Road Trip to Tampa/Clearwater

This past weekend is usually when I gear up to take youth to Rock The Universe for the weekend and have a blast rockin out, but things worked out that I didn't end up going but instead got free tickets to the Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton concert in Tampa at the Amphitheater. Ashley(one of my best friends) and I decided to make a mini-vacation/roadtrip out of it. We drove up to Tampa Friday evening and checked into our hotel right across the street from the Amphitheater, best decision ever I might add. While that area is prone to summer lightning-downpours, we managed to make it over to the cover of the Amphitheater almost untouched by the rain. While our original tickets were lawn seats we ended up upgrading our tickets for $10 to Amphitheater seats, which was another great decision seeing as an hour long thunder storm was coming our way. The next few hours were spent people watching (country people I might add.LOL), eating dinner, taking pictures, listening to different new-born artists and getting our country-on. After some fun delay Blake Shelton and Brad Paisley were ready to take the stage. Blake Shelton was completely awesome and the perfect warm-up for Brad Paisley. BRAD PAISLEY......oh what to say about his amazing performance. At every turn there was something new to expect, many surprises, all great hits, awesome visual effects I can't even begin to explain and lots of standing, clapping, singing, emotion, laughter and fun. Oh and did I mention his tickets are worth every penny, I can't even begin to tell you how many songs he played or how awesome he plays guitar. We had such a blast and got to walk across the street get in comfy beds and wake up to free breakfast.

Our next adventure began after breakfast as we embarked on a drive to Clearwater Beach. Let me just add that it was rainy and cloudy every second until we got out of the car put our toes in the sand and set our eyes upon the Gulf. Every second after that was sunny and bright :) There at the beach we had a good/relaxing time swimming, laying-out, taking walks, eating, listening to music, beachy shops, watching the sunset, enjoying entertainment and looking at art on the pier. Such a relaxing 2day vaca :)
